  • We are a tech free camp and discourage campers from bringing any electronics that they do not want to lose while away from home. If campers bring their phones to camp, we will keep them locked in the safe in our office for the entire camp session.

  • It’s a great thing that most of our staff were previously campers at The Main Idea, because it is really easy to use our deep rooted experience of sleep-away camp to encourage campers that although it may be scary to be away from home, there is tons of fun to have at camp! Camper’s are given grace and the necessary space to feel their emotions, but staff are trained to encourage campers to work through their feelings and enjoy the present moment and all the activities.

  • The Health Form must be signed by a physician and cannot be dated any earlier than August 1, 2023. Returning campers must have an updated health form every year.

  • Campers are only permitted to leave camp early on a pre-approved basis (eg. first day of school). Otherwise, we encourage campers to complete the sessions and for families to plan other activities with consideration for camp’s session dates.
